1. Eligibility. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

1a. Cancellation Rights. By subscribing and requesting that the service begin immediately, you acknowledge and agree that you are waiving your statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, to the extent that the service has been performed.

2. Accuracy of Information. All information you submit is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge. I reserve the right to decline or remove your application at any time if I have reasonable grounds to believe any information provided is false or misleading.

3. Nature of the Service. This is a manually operated, application-based matchmaking trial. I personally review applications and make matching decisions based on the information provided. This is a new and developing service, and its processes, format, and timelines may change as I learn what works. No specific timeframe for matching is guaranteed.

4. No Guarantee of Matching. Acceptance into this trial does not guarantee that you will be matched with anyone, or matched within any particular timeframe. Matches made through this service are not independently vetted.

5. Your Responsibility for Due Diligence. I will use reasonable efforts to match applicants based on the information provided, but I do not verify the identity, intentions, or background of any applicant beyond what is voluntarily disclosed. You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence on any potential match before proceeding further, including verifying identity and any information shared with you.

6. Privacy of Your Information. Your profile will not be made publicly visible. Where a potential match is identified, non-identifying information and photographs may be shared with that match as part of the introduction process. By submitting this application, you acknowledge and consent to this limited disclosure. Full details of how your data is collected, used, and protected are set out in the accompanying Privacy Policy.

7. Right to Decline or Remove Applicants. I reserve the right to decline, suspend, or remove any applicant at any time, for legitimate reasons including but not limited to misrepresentation, inappropriate conduct, lack of responsiveness, provision of false information, or violation of Section 7a below. This right will not be exercised on the basis of any protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.

7a. Prohibited Conduct. You agree that you will not use this service to aid, abet, encourage, or facilitate any form of abuse — including physical, emotional, financial, or sexual abuse — of another person. You further agree that you will not use this service for any purpose connected with human trafficking, exploitation, coercion, or the solicitation of any person for such purposes. Any suspected violation of this clause will result in immediate removal from the trial, and I reserve the right to report any such conduct to the relevant authorities where appropriate.

8. Limitation of Liability. I am not responsible for the outcome of any introduction or match made through this service, including any emotional, financial, or personal consequences arising from contact with a match. This includes any loss or harm arising from a match's breach of Section 7a, for which I accept no liability. You engage with any match entirely at your own discretion and risk. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

9. Communication and Consent. By submitting this application, you consent to being contacted regarding your application, potential matches, and updates relating to this trial, using the contact details you provide.

10. Changes to These Terms. As this is a trial service, these terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how the service operates. Continued participation in the trial following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

2. What Information I Collect. When you complete the matchmaking application, I collect the personal information you choose to provide, which may include your name, contact details, date of birth, location, preferences, background information, and photographs.

3. Why I Collect It. I collect and use this information solely to: assess your application for the matchmaking trial; identify and facilitate potential matches; contact you regarding your application or potential matches; and improve and develop the matchmaking service.

4. Legal Basis for Processing. I process your information on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the application form. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting me at the email address above, though this may affect my ability to continue considering you for matches.

5. Who Your Information Is Shared With. Your application is not made publicly visible. Where I identify a potential match for you, I may share limited, non-identifying information and photographs with that match as part of the introduction process. I do not sell your information. I may use anonymised, non-identifying information (such as general trends or aggregated statistics from applications) for the purpose of improving and promoting this service.

6. How Long I Keep Your Information. I retain your information for as long as you remain an active applicant in the trial, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you wish to re-engage with the service. If you ask me to delete your data, I will do so within a reasonable timeframe, except where I am required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

7. Your Rights. Under UK data protection law, you have the right to: request access to the personal data I hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent at any time; and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled. To exercise any of these rights, contact me at matchmaking@halallove.co.uk.

8. Data Security. I take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, given the current scale and stage of this trial. As this service develops, I will continue to review and improve how your data is stored and protected.

9. Changes to This Policy. As this matchmaking service is currently in a trial phase, this policy may be updated as the service develops. Any material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.

Cancellations. You may cancel your paid membership at any time by emailing matchmaking@halallove.co.uk with your cancellation request. Cancellations will be processed promptly and no further payments will be taken after the cancellation is confirmed. Please note that cancelling your paid membership will move you to free membership - you will remain in the matchmaking pool but will no longer receive proactive matching or guaranteed engagement.

Refunds. Due to the personal, manual, and time-intensive nature of this Service, refunds are not available once a payment has been made, except in cases where no engagement of any kind was provided in a given month.

Engagement Guarantee. Paid members are guaranteed at least 3 pieces of direct engagement per month, which may include, but are not limited to: a match introduction, personal feedback, profile refinements, suggestions, or a status update on your application. As this guarantee is fulfilled through ongoing engagement rather than a specific deliverable, payment for each billing cycle is earned provided the minimum engagement guarantee is met during that cycle.

This Acceptable Use Policy governs your use of the HalalLove Matchmaking service, including the application process, membership, and any communications facilitated through the service. By submitting an application, you agree to comply with this policy in full.

1. Eligibility. This service is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 or over who are genuinely seeking marriage. Use of this service by minors is strictly prohibited.

2. Prohibited Conduct. You must not use this service to: provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information at any stage of the application or matching process; harass, threaten, intimidate, or engage in abusive conduct toward any other member or toward me as the operator; solicit money, financial assistance, or gifts from any other member; upload, share, or transmit sexually explicit profile content or material of any kind; engage in, facilitate, or promote child sexual exploitation or abuse (CSEA) in any form — any such conduct will be reported immediately to law enforcement and the Internet Watch Foundation; engage in or promote sexual violence or non-consensual content of any kind; facilitate, promote, or engage in human trafficking or sex trafficking in any form; engage in scam activity or fraudulent conduct intended to defraud other users of this platform, including but not limited to romance fraud or financial deception; engage in any conduct of a sexual nature that is unsolicited, exploitative, or inappropriate; use contact details obtained through this service for any purpose other than genuine matrimonial engagement; attempt to circumvent the matching process by contacting other members outside of introductions made through this service; use this service for commercial purposes, including promoting products, services, or third-party platforms; impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, marital status, religious practice, or personal circumstances; or engage in any conduct that is unlawful under the laws of England and Wales.

3. Conduct Toward Matches. Any individual introduced to you through this service must be treated with dignity and respect at all times. You are reminded that introductions are made in good faith and that all members are real individuals with a genuine intention to marry. Any conduct that causes harm, distress, or reputational damage to another member may result in immediate removal from the service and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

4. Reporting. If you become aware of any member engaging in conduct that violates this policy, or if you experience any form of harassment, fraud, or misconduct in connection with this service, you are encouraged to report it immediately by contacting matchmaking@halallove.co.uk.

5. Enforcement. I reserve the right to remove any member from the service immediately and without prior notice for any breach of this policy. Removal does not entitle the member to a refund. Serious breaches, including fraud, harassment, or criminal conduct, may be reported to the relevant authorities.

6. Governing Law. This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

This document sets out how HalalLove Matchmaking responds to requests from law enforcement agencies and other lawful authorities in relation to user data and service operations.

1. Operator. HalalLove Matchmaking is a personally operated sole trader service based in England. All law enforcement requests should be directed to the operator at: matchmaking@halallove.co.uk

2. Data We Hold. In the course of operating this service, we collect and retain personal data provided voluntarily by applicants through the matchmaking application form. This may include name, contact details, date of birth, location, photographs, and personal background information. We do not collect financial data beyond what is processed directly by Stripe.

3. Response to Lawful Requests. We will comply with lawful requests for user data from UK law enforcement agencies and courts where we are legally required to do so. This includes, but is not limited to, requests made pursuant to the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, and any applicable court order or production order issued under English law.

4. Voluntary Disclosure. We reserve the right to voluntarily disclose user data to law enforcement without a formal legal request where we have a good-faith belief that doing so is necessary to prevent imminent harm, fraud, or criminal activity, or to protect the safety of any individual connected to this service.

5. Notification. Where legally permissible, we will endeavour to notify the relevant user that a request for their data has been received, unless prohibited from doing so by law or court order, or where notification would compromise an ongoing investigation.

6. International Requests. This service operates exclusively under the laws of England and Wales. Requests from law enforcement agencies outside the United Kingdom must be submitted through the appropriate mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) or equivalent diplomatic channel. We are not in a position to respond directly to foreign law enforcement requests absent such formal process.
